The LA Clippers are said to be tinkering with the idea of adopting a mascot in 2015-16.
Currently, there are just four teams in the NBA sans mascot representation—the Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets.
The Clips have been busy with re-branding themselves this summer, introducing new uniforms and threatening to move their local broadcasts from television to the Internet.
Per the LA Times:
Clippers are in planning stages of having a team mascot, per source. Team won't have by opening night, but may have one by All-Star break.
