Fans go back and forth about who they believe is the best player in the NBA, with many siding with Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James.
As for Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant, he has his own opinion—even if he is a little biased.
James, the Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry, the Houston Rockets' James Harden and the New Orleans Pelicans' Anthony Davis all made strong cases to be called the best player in the game during the 2014-15 NBA season. Meanwhile, Durant—the 2013-14 NBA MVP—had to watch those players dominate the league from the sideline, playing in just 27 games due to injuries.
People may now be overlooking Durant as a result of his foot injury, but he still has a lot of confidence in himself. In fact, according to Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago, Durant still considers himself to be the best player in the world.
There's no doubt that Durant is a top-five player when healthy. Now, he has to go out and prove that he's healthy. And of course, some fans will demand that he wins a ring before he talks about being the best of the best.
