Montrezl Harrell, the No. 32 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, recently helped save a trapped motorist from a smoky and overturned car.

The Houston Rockets rookie, a key member of the Louisville Cardinals’ 2013 NCAA title team, sprung into action when he spotted the two-vehicle road accident.

Per the Courier-Journal:

Former Louisville basketball star Montrezl Harrell helped save a motorist from an overturned, smoking vehicle near the school’s campus on Saturday morning, U of L sports information director Kenny Klein confirmed Monday evening.

Klein, in a series of tweets, said Harrell, who was drafted this summer by the Houston Rockets, kicked out a window in the overturned car, retrieved a fire extinguisher and waited for emergency personnel to arrive.

The University of Louisville police department lists the incident as a non-injury accident that occurred at the intersection of 3rd Street and West Cardinal Boulevard.
