The New Orleans Pelicans are reportedly on the verge of signing free agent swingman Chris Douglas-Roberts to a two-year agreement at the veterans’ miniumum.

Douglas-Roberts has started workouts with the Pelicans and will sign for the NBA’s veteran minimum. Douglas-Roberts gives New Orleans some experience at the wing and will compete for a roster spot along with Bryce Dejean-Jones and Sean Kilpatrick.
Douglas-Roberts, 28, has averaged 7.1 points and 2.1 rebounds over six NBA seasons while playing for the Nets, Bucks, Mavericks, Hornets and Clippers. The 6-foot-7 forward signed with the Clippers last offseason after being a contributor on Charlotte’s playoff team under Steve Clifford.
