Free agent forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis reportedly underwent surgery on his left ankle Wednesday, and is expected to be sidelined for up to three months.

Davis, 29, has yet to secure a contract for next season; he played with the LA Clippers in 2014-15, putting up averages of 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 74 games.

Davis had surgery to repair torn ligaments, a cyst and a bone spur in his left ankle that was completed by Dr. Bob Anderson in Charlotte, N.C. Davis initially suffered the serious left ankle injury with the Clippers during Game 6 of a first-round playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs on April 30. Davis played in eight more playoff games with the Clippers following the injury.
Davis, 29, averaged career-lows of four points, 2.3 rebounds and 12.1 minutes per game in 74 games for the Clippers last season, but also shot 45.9 percent from the field. The free agent was receiving interest from several NBA teams, including the Clippers and Dallas Mavericks, prior to it becoming apparent he needed major ankle surgery.
